Quantera Analytical

Introducing the CurioHS

Parallel headspace extraction. Multiple sorbent. Your instruments. Anywhere.

The CurioHS is the first planar, parallel, cartridge-based headspace extraction platform. Process dozens of samples at once, with the sorbent chemistry you choose, and analyze using the platform of your choice. It makes work at the bench more efficient, and testing in the field or at the receiving dock practical. Available now for early-access partners, with complimentary method development to move an existing method onto the CurioHS.

Here's How Trace Testing Becomes Your Competitive Advantage

A modular, parallelized extraction system designed for field or lab use built to handle volatile and semi-volatile compounds with speed and precision.

  • Parallel headspace extraction, in the field or at the bench
  • Interchangeable low-cost cartridges
  • Rugged plates and cartridges, in the field or the lab
  • Compatible with GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, DART-MS, and more

In minutes, Quantera captures analytes on compact cartridges that can be shipped, stored, or analyzed right away. Sample preparation no longer has to happen where the instrument is.

How it works

A gloved hand drawing a sample into a pipette beside a white multiwell sample plate
1

Load

Place your samples, solid or liquid, into Quantera's rugged multiwell plate, built on the standard plate footprint. In the lab or in the field.

The Curio HS extraction device with its clamped manifold sealed over the well plate
2

Capture

Seal the cartridge array over the plate. Use your choice of sorbent cartridge.Incubate in parallel.

3

Analyze

Take the loaded cartridges to your instrument, store them, or ship to a contract lab.

Ideal for testing volatile and semi-volatile compounds

The CurioHS is optimized for

  • aroma and flavor compounds
  • terpenes
  • smoke-taint markers (guaiacol, 4-methylguaiacol and related volatile phenols)
  • off-aromas such as 2,4,6-TCA, fermentation and spoilage markers
  • residual solvents
  • fumigants
  • BTEX
  • furan
  • packaging migrants
  • and more.
